An Open and Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Christ

Together, our church changes lives.
Dear Church Family and Friends,
Every day God shares his love and grace abundantly with each of us and we want our actions to reflect our gratitude. We hope that you will be inspired by God’s generosity as you consider your pledge to the church for 2026.
Our church embodies generosity in our three core values: spiritual discovery, inclusive community, and compassionate service. We foster spiritual discovery through our church services, Kid’s Zone, Bible study, and the summer reading group. We demonstrate our inclusiveness by welcoming all in the community and initiating the Shrewsbury Pride Run. We emphasize Earth Stewardship to show ways that we can sustain God’s creation. We engage in compassionate service by sharing our resources with those experiencing food insecurity, housing issues, and other unmet needs. We support each other through pastoral service and the Care Team.
Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure make it possible to fulfill these core values. Remembering how extravagantly God cares for each of us, we ask you to prayerfully consider what it means to respond in kind.
A pledge card and an addressed envelope are enclosed to make it easy for you to make a pledge. You can also make a pledge by scanning the QR code below, or by going directly to https://tinyurl.com/FCCSM-Pledge-2026 (No stamp required.) When you make your pledge, it represents your best intentions for the coming year. If your circumstances change, your pledge can be adjusted at any time.
We hope that you will be with us on Sunday, October 19 for Stewardship Sunday when we will acknowledge all the pledges from the congregation.
Please pledge generously!

And do not forget 1 Timothy 6:18 - They are to do good, to be rich in good works, and generous and ready to share.
